Plan to attend the 3rd Annual
Center for Bible Engagement Bible Literacy Lectures

June 10, 2011

An Invitation from Woodrow Kroll...

Bible illiteracy is not a problem in the church. Bible illiteracy is the problem in the church.

The statistical evidence is mounting rapidly. It is solidly scientific and it is completely convincing. Multiple sources are now saying the same thing: Christians, even those who consider themselves evangelical Christians, know pathetically little about the book they love and believe to be God-inspired. We all have Bibles, multiple copies in fact, but we don't read them and therefore are not being changed by them.

The Center for Bible Engagement (CBE) is distinct in that our research is conducted solely on the Bible's impact on the Christian's growth toward spiritual maturity. We want to be the "go to" place when you want to know the effect of the Bible on people's lives.

In order to showcase the research done by the CBE and raise awareness of the Bible's ability to change people's lives, we are hosting, the 3rd Annual Bible Literacy Lectures. Plan to join us in Lincoln, Nebraska, on June 10, 2011.

Between Sundays Update

On May 7th, a group of church leaders & lay people gathered for Between Sundays, the 2nd Annual Center for Bible Engagement Bible Literacy Lectures. The focus of the event, keeping people engaged with God, not just on Sundays, but between Sundays.

The day was filled with reality checks, hope, challenges and inspiration to get people reading, reflecting on and applying God's Word on a daily basis. Thanks to everyone who attended!
