Daily discipleship continues despite social distancing

Efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 have quickly and completely transformed the ways we live, work, play and worship. In the name of safety and social distancing, we are creatively retooling our businesses, schools, and other institutions.

The Center for Bible Engagement's Dr. Arnie Cole sees this as a tremendous opportunity to rethink how they minister. Today more than ever churches can use technology to meet people where they are spiritually, providing daily discipleship and even connecting with those who would never cross the threshold of a church building.

Dr. Cole recently discussed this incredible opportunity with Chris Pugh on the World of Pugh podcast. I invite you to listen for both encouragement and ideas of how your church can nurture the spiritual lives of the people you touch.

Arnie mentions two free digital discipleship tools. You can find out more about these tools here and here. Ministry in these challenging times requires creativity and a new perspective.

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
